DETAILS: Set of four antique tintype photographs of an African American sailor taken by Hilton Studio, Norfolk Virginia. All four photographs are in their original issued individual paper sleeve with photographers stamp on verso. Writing along edge of one of the photos reads: This is my uniform (in) the navy. I have to be dressed, all the time.
