1981 PINK & PRETTY CHRISTIE NRFB Superstar era Black Barbie friend AA Vintage
This Gorgeous Christie was made in TAIWAN and is the PINK LIPS version (not the mauve/purple lips). She uses the STEFFIE head sculpt and is one of the most beautiful African-American dolls that Mattel has ever made.
She wears the elegant Pink n Pretty fashion with faux fur-wrap, skirt, cape/overskirt, pink Pants, Superstar "diamond" earrings, ring, and necklace, and comes with matching hat, shoes, and purple accessories (like tiny comb, perfume bottle, etc). Doll and contents are factory MINT, but the outer box does have WEAR: the window has several small splits by her right hand (see photo #5). There are several dings & scuffs on window.
The back of the box has color scuffing, which I tried to show in photo #4. She has a great hairline/rooting, one of the best I have seen on this doll, and her face is just stunning, with her PINK lips! She will make a wonderful addition to your Black Barbie or Superstar era collection!Now 40 years old, she is a true Vintage doll! Comes from a smoke-free home.
