Early 1039-5 Black Straight-Wrist 12 Cabinet Simon & Halbig German Doll Bisque

Original Antique Doll - Made in Germany. Bisque Head / Composition Body - Marked: "SH 1039/5 DEP Germany" What a sweet little 12 cabinet-size doll!

This RARE 1039/5 early straight-wrist Simon & Halbig is in remarkable condition and a real beauty. Her bisque appears to have no condition issues after careful examination. She has deep brown set eyes (not sleep eyes) and is wearing a black human hair wig over a plaster pate. Her composition body has a belly ding but, aside from this, it appears to be in very good condition, with all her fingers and toes accounted for. I find no repaint or repairs.

Her stringing is not very tight. She has lovely pierced ears with earrings. Her antique green velvet and silk clothing is beautiful, but not original to the doll. She is a real find for those looking for the rare and unusual, and she displays fabulously.

From a non-smoking environment, of course. Photo props not included: DOLL STAND. IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE - for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of "hair" lashes on bisque heads (if they had them), not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors - for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc.
