TURNER" canvas stamp verso and "Turner signature lower center. This work is from the late 1930's or 40's where the painter explored a more modernist brushwork. She layered the painting using brush and knife; there also seems to be the shadow of another figure in the background. Framed in a mid century frame circa 1940.

From an estate in Alford, Massachusetts. This work is totally fresh to the market. Original canvas measures 24 x 20 inches. Framed dimensions measure 31 x 27 inches.

There is slight waving to canvas; stretcher bars need to be adjusted. Under blacklight only one spot of missing paint close to sitters elbow, otherwise all intact under black light with no apparent restoration. Could use a cleaning and revarnishing.
