This offering is for a circa late 1920's to early 1930's Black Cloth Doll. The doll was almost without a doubt a home made folk art rendition of a Johnny Gruelle Beloved Belinda which made her first appearance in 1926.

23 in overall height and she wears her original clothing. The cloth doll body was made from a brown stocking and the clothing is sewn in place, she is fairly firmly stuffed with cotton. The condition is excellent with no damage or repairs of note. The doll has great embroidered and sewn features making her nothing short of a work of art.
