In the front the ends of the shawl are kept closed at the waist with a straight pin. I did not remove any of her clothes but did peek under them to see if the cloth body is in good condition. The body is indeed in excellent condition. The front of the dress where it was not covered by the apron and shawl have a bit of fading from light.
There are a few small loose threads on her bare feet that seem to be remnants of stitching that had attached cloth socks or shoes once upon a time. They dont look to be repairs. On her nose there is some loss of the top layer of black fabric as is very common with these dolls. Fortunately the layer of cloth exposed underneath is also black. There is a bit of a run in the fabric over one eye and a small loss of fabric in the inner corner of the other eye. There is some loss to the topmost fuzzy surface of the black fabric that is used to simulate hair but due to the textured nature of the fabric she still has the appearance of having an overall short curly hairdo. The shawl and apron are of a very fine delicate fabric that has age toning. The shawl has a couple of breaks, one of which has an old stitched repair. The apron has one small hole.
