This painting was done in 1970 by Oakland artist Anthony Debone. Debone was an artist from Iran who had an exhibit at the Smithsonian in the late 1960's. The inspiration for this artwork is Angela Davis. Debone also did a more traditional poster of Miss Davis around the same time.
The painting is oil on canvas. It measures 24 x 30 inches.
I have edited out a portion of the image with brown paper stickers that have minimal adhesive applied. The painting was some signs of wear and aging, but is in very good overall condition.
