Antique African American Black Primitive Folk Art Cloth Rag Doll 18

Here we have the sweetest handmade cloth rag doll with a dark complexion. She is made of cotton. It is firmly stuffed with what feels like straw or wood shavings. Her body has a smaller waist and wide hips.

She has a lovely face with painted brown eyes and painted red lips. Her nose and eyebrows are embroidered. I don't know what her hair is made out of but it feels coarse and wiry.

Her hands have individual fingers. She only stands and cannot sit. She wears a pink dress with lace accents on the bodice, cups on her tiered dress. She wears off white stockings and the most darling little pink shoes with pink bow ties and pompoms.

This doll has a tiered cotton slip with a lace hem and matching pantaloons. She has pink bows in her hair. She is an charming primitive doll made with love and would be an excellent addition to your primitive doll collection. CONDITION: This doll is in great condition with no tears or holes.

Her dress has no tears or holes but brownish yellow spots throughout the entire dress and the front of the dress has faded. There is a dark gray spot on her bodice that looks like paint and two more gray spots on the back of her dress. Her shoes are in fairly good condition but the underside of one shoe has a crack in the sole.
