The gentleman has cotton hair & beard & painted face.. His is wearing original clothes and is carrying a wood walking stick. His shirt shows some fading. The lady is also clothed in original clothes. Her apron has a small black mark in front.
Her calico dress also shows some fading. She has a nicely pained face and wears a red cotton bandanna. Both dolls have carved wood legs and shoes. I can not remove their clothes but by feeling they appear to have wood framed bodies surrounded by cotton stuffing. The dolls do not stand alone. They need stands or back support. Please view the photos as they are part of the description.
They display well and will be an asset to you collection. They date to the early 1900's. The gentleman has paint rubs on his head.
