Antique African American Sock Type Body Mother, Daughter Orig. Clothes/9.5,8.5

Much thought and care has gone into the construction of these dolls. Silk caps are hand stitched as well as the clothes. There is also some machine stitching such as the pin tucks on the aprons.

The faces are embroidered as well as the feather stitching on the mother's apron. There are some fading and black marks on the clothes mostly in the back. So much detail on these dolls I can't describe everything but even silk ribbons, hand strung mini glass beads and hand crochet lace are unusual Please view photos as they are part of the description.

I have tried to particularly photo any defects. These doll are from the early 1900s. They make a unique addition to your collection.
