Antique late 19th century, c1890s, original occupational/mercantile cabinet photograph depicting a group New York City leather or textile workers. The aprons, high boots and stick look to be used for dying textiles or perhaps washing them? The group is made up of 10 adult men including an African American man posing with a fellow workers hand in his shoulder. Verso boasts printed photographer information of Oscar Muller III, Canal Street, New York. Muller was known for photographing business in New York City during the late 19th century. Image is bold and crisp with only gentle wear.

Mat shows toning and a bend/crease to the left edge which fortunately is still attached. Measures 7" x 4" and 8" x 4 7/8" with the mat.
