Antique Turn Of Century Wood Framed Portrait Of African American Woman/ -black

This large antique photographic potrait from the 1800s depicts an (unidentified) featuring an unidentified African American woman dressed in period attire with a high-collared lace or ruffled dress and an elaborate ribbon bow in her hair. A beautiful and unique piece of Black Americana culture. The unique wood frame adds to the historical and cultural significance of the image, making it a valuable collectible item for those interested in African American history and artifacts. This rare find offers a glimpse into the past and celebrates the beauty and heritage of African American women.

The frame is 27" x 23" (see photos). It is really elaborate and quite nice but does show some wear and tear (scratches and chips) which you can see in the pictures. The frame is still very solid. I found this portrait in an estate sale. I'll package the framed portrait carefully using bubble wrap and layers of thick cardboard with extra cardboard stacked up on each corner.
