Welcome to Tiny Town Resale. Amazing Lot of Black African American PHOTOS / HISTORY Collectible Family History, Including their Baptist Church. The Original "Harveson Trio" Singers. There are 18 Photographs included in this listing!

Plus the other items you see pictured. The Family of Rubie White (Peaches). This lot contains her Aunt's Collection of photos and paper ephemera. Her Aunt was: Rubie Sandefur Harveson (Tee Tee).

This family has strong original Baptist church history, Alpha Kappa Alpha AKA history, strong NAACP affiliation, and so much more!!! They were actively involved with many associations, to progress the advancement, education, and connection of the African American Black community. Many of these photos and pieces in this lot have detailed writing on the backs of them with names, dates, associations, event place, topics, etc. The history that this family all kept was immense! They truly tried to preserve every moment and memory that they were making throughout their lives.

I have MORE papers and photos etc, from this beautiful family, in which I will be listing! Approximate Measurements: The majority of the photos measure approximately, 8" x 10" but there are about three of them that are smaller. What makes this collectible lot of even more interesting... Is that the person who it belonged to (whose estate we had cleaned out) was a Supervisor for GM (General Motors) for 28 years. Plus it gets even better!!!

Rubie White's family were some of the people who were involved in forming the some of the earliest African American Baptist churches in Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, and other locations. They were also involved with the National Baptist Convention. White was a proud member of AKA Alpha Kappa Alpha (a sorority for black women) and heavily involved based on all the different documents, bookkeeping, paperwork, and info. That was found with her AKA memorabilia at her estate.

Rubie White (the niece of the original owner of these items) also became a minster of music at a church as well as other positions within the churches. Not to mention the numerous other things Rubie was involved in with her local communities at the various places she lived, along with other Baptist and Black History in the making during her time alive. She never wasted a moment, and she made every moment count, while spreading love to all who crossed her path! We have recently come across more boxes and items of her belongings from her estate (including this item), that were at our storage facility. So, we will also be listing more of her wonderful items in hopes someone will treasure owning and preserve these amazing historical items.

The majority of the photos have writing on the backs of them. They may have some edge or corner wear and tears.

One piece that looks like a photo is actually a photo copy. There is also a newspaper clipping, and a small binder with an "appreciation for faithful service" award.
