I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U. Im offering today an adorable all composition baby doll I believe is known as "Topsy". I've seen these dolls in price guides, but never thought I'd own one. I was very lucky when I found her and she has been one of my favorites. She is truly a rare and hard to find one in this large size. I will start at the top of the doll and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description. Starting at the top of her head, she has black molded hair which has minimal paint loss. Sitting on top and each side of her head are tufts of yarn hair which I've put into braids and tied adorable red satin and black/white polka dot grosgrain ribbon bows on each braid. I love the bright red ribbon against her beautiful chocolate brown face and body. As you go down to her face, she has single black line for eyebrows. She has painted brown eyes which have been meticulously hand painted for realism. She has a dainty little nose with open nostrils which flows down to her rose bud shape lips. Her lips are painted bright red color. Since her skin is so dark, she doesn't really have much color to her chubby little cheeks.

Her head, arms, legs and body are composition. She has jointed baby body with straight legs which are great for displaying standing up. She can also be sitting because she has joints to pose her in many different ways. I chose this adorable red/black/white plaid dress with gold threads going through the plaid pattern. The bodice of the dress is drop waist which simply means the waist on the dress is down to the middle of her legs.

There is a large black satin bow off to one side of the bodice giving contrast to the lovely plaid design. As you go around to the back of the dress there is a zipper for easy on/off wearing.

The sleeves are puffy Cinderella style with black satin trim on the bottom edge of each sleeve. As you go down to the drop on the skirt, there are three rows of gathered fabric which goes down to below her knees. Off to one side is another large black satin bow for contrast which compliments the one up by the shoulder. Under her dress, she is wearing matching plaid panties which look so cute on her. She is wearing hand crochet black socks which are vintage and are worn by antique dolls.

She is wearing bright red mary jane shoes with metal buckle on each side for keeping the shoes securely on the dolls feet. These shoes come from my personal vintage shoe collection and have never been worn by another doll. This sweet baby doll will come with her very white plush teddy bear with red accents. She has been in my collection for many years and over the course of years I clean my dolls and try to avoid them from ageing by doing so. They are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough. My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy. All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children. Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll. We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor. Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children..... They are all beautiful in their mothers eyes. If I've missed something it would never be intentional. This is a large size doll standing approximately 18 tall. Her teddy bear measures approximately 6 tall. To be honest, I would consider this doll in good condition for her age. She has one area on one leg which needs to be touched up with brown paint, but I don't do that for fear of harming the integrity of the doll.

One or two fingers have chips on the end of it. She has her original yarn hair, which I'm sure at one time was much thicker than it is now. She has been restrung since her old string was rotten, so she should be good for another 80 years. This is a designer dress which is new.

Her shoes are vintage and her socks are vintage. There is very little paint loss on this doll and I don't see any crazing which is hard to believe.
