Story of the resilience of blacks in Wilmington NC who overcame vicious white supremacy campaigns around 1900 that destroyed many black-owned businesses (chronicled in the book'Cape Fear Rising'). This is the story of their recovery and subsequent accomplishments, as told by newspaper accounts.
