Sunbabe "So-Wee" Black / African American Baby Doll. Very good condition, see photo for left shoulder chip in rubber at joint. Head shows more wear on back, right, see photo. Appears to be a drink and wet doll (holes in mouth and bum). Squeaker works when air is forced through mouth.

Sleep eyes open and close. Head turns, all joints work easily.

Has slight musty smell, will come packed with desiccant to absorb moisture and any lingering odors. UPDATE - doll has been sealed in a bag with a desiccant since original posting on 11-15-21 and musty smell is 99% gone. In the late 1940s, Newton began designing dolls, including one called "Amosandra", in 1949 in conjunction with the "Amos and Andy" radio show.
