VINTAGE 1985 Mattel My Child Doll African American/Black #2517 NIB
My Child is Very Special. Remember this line of "My Child" dolls in the 1980s? So very unique & highly collectible. This little African American/Black baby boy was made in 1985 by Mattel. He's #2517 in the series.
He has a soft cloth body & head. His beautiful, curly locks are also soft. He's wearing the cutest outfit. It's a red, cotton jumper/overalls/playsuit w/a white collared shirt underneath.
He has a blue corduroy vest on top of that & a sweet little red & white polka-dot necktie w/a sailboat on it. He's wearing a matching corduroy blue hat. He has those white plastic baby shoes w/white laces (similar to Cabbage Patch dolls) & white socks. He is still in his original box & has the packaging on his body to keep him place.He comes w/a comb & brush, a baby care booklet w/washing instructions & a real Pampers disposable diaper! I have seen some other NIB dolls like this one, but they are all Caucasian/White, and I have yet to see an African American/Black baby boy doll in this condition. He is definitely rare & unique. Made in 1985 by Mattel. Part of the "My Child" doll series - #2517.
Soft, cloth body w/acrylic eyes. Brown skin, black, curly hair & brown eyes. Stands anywhere between 12-14 (hard to measure as he's sitting down in the box).
NIB in mint condition - never removed from box, & never played with. Note: This vintage doll is NIB in mint condition, and never removed or played with.
