Vintage Black FRANCIE Barbie Doll Rooted Lashes Original 1967 Mattel Japan

1100, , made in Japan by Mattel, Inc. Much sought after, she's the first version of Black Francie. Before I acquired this lovely Vintage Black Francie doll, I was unaware of the flaws that I have detailed in this listing's "Condition" box additional space. Below because the previous owner failed to disclose them. Despite the doll's flaws, she is beautiful and displays wonderfully.

The doll's flaws are. Rooted eyelashes fuller on right eyelid than on the left. Lip paint faded on topmost part of upper lip. Hair has nice sheen, but uneven trimming or loss near the ends (on the sides and rear). Hair plugs are missing from six spots on rear bottom scalp.

Bangs lie flat, are not as soft as the tresses. No pierced ears, but there are three pinpricks on the right temple. There is a teeny shiny spot beside a pinprick on the left cheek. There is a tiny dot to the left of the Mattel-factory seam of the right leg (the tiny dot is located on the upper right thigh, at the rear). A toe is missing from the right foot, and there's an indent on one toe of the left foot. Discoloration (looks like pastel-colored paint) on soles of feet -- possibly from shoes worn in her past? Right arm very slightly swings when brought down to doll's right side. As to be expected, find storage-related scratches on torso.

Light surface soil on all limbs. Minimal ink stains, from long-ago play, on doll's lower back -- above the buttocks, as photographed.

Doll is rare and beautiful, and displays wonderfully. She has no nose nips, no green ear, no gouges and no neck splits. Doll twists'n turns (TNT waist) excellently. That way, I could properly insulate the rare Sweet N Swingin' prom gown and coat that you see dolly modeling here.

Kindly note that I didn't marry the two garments. Also: This is an incomplete set, just as I acquired it. No Sweet N Swingin' shoes and purse are included. Please note: Stitches in the seams of the gorgeous gown's light-pink. Overlay -- at front -- are loose. In the photos you will see that the lower. Also included in the sale. A pair of vintage-Francie squishy light-pink shoes made in Japan (shoes are in very good condition).
